Fool For Love
Written by Sam Shephard
|The Old Man||Richard Kellie
What better place for this Gothic Western piece than the haunted Venue 8 where ghosts abound and the air is hot and thick with melancholy. The Old Man sits drinking, picks up his guitar and sings Hank Williams and the lights come up.
Eddie and May sit without speaking to each other. Though The Old Man talks to the actors, neither May nor Eddie seem to hear him. A sultry, surreal and twisted tale of lost love and deceit unravels in a dingy motel room on the edge of the Mojave desert, a wasteland made more desolate by the characters who inhabit it.
